Remarks of Ramdev: Associations of Resident Doctors to protest nationally on 1 June

Remarks of Ramdev: Associations of Resident Doctors to protest nationally on 1 June, Ramdev had to rescind his declaration on Sunday.

A dispute had occurred after he learned that some of the drugs used to treat the illness with coronavirus had been questioned and that "lakhs were dead from consuming allopathic COVID-19 medications."

Members of the federation of resident physicians' organisations said on Saturday that they will organise a statewide protest on June 1 and observe it as a 'black day' in response to Yoga guru Ramdev's attacks against allopathy. The federation also demanded a "unconditional open public apology" from Ramdev in a statement.

After he was heard disputing some of the drugs used to treat the coronavirus infection and alleging that "thousands had perished from using allopathic drugs for COVID-19," a scandal developed.

The words sparked outrage, prompting Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan to request that he remove the "very terrible" comment.

Ramdev had to rescind his declaration on Sunday.

A day later, in a 'open letter' on his Twitter handle, the yoga teacher addressed 25 questions to the Indian Medical Association (IMA), questioning if allopathy provided lasting cure for diseases.
